In today’s episode, I’m opening up about something deeply personal—dealing with unexpected loss. I don’t think I’ve ever shared this with you all before, but nine years ago, I experienced the sudden loss of my brother. Losing him so unexpectedly changed my life and my family’s lives forever. I’ve always struggled with death, but this one hit differently.

This episode dives into the importance of seeking understanding and clarity from God—not just relying on ourselves. When life takes a turn, it’s natural to want answers, to try and figure things out on our own. But when you're navigating a whirlwind of emotions like fear, anxiety, anger, or confusion, doing it alone can leave you stuck in those feelings. And if you don’t fully process those emotions, real healing can feel out of reach.

I’ve experienced more than one unexpected loss in my life, but I realized recently that I never truly healed from any of them. Part of the reason was because I had just spoken to or seen the person—it felt like everything was fine. So when they were suddenly gone, I found myself stuck in confusion and anxiety, never really going through the full healing process.

But when you turn to God—or your higher power—for answers, the journey is still painful, but there’s a chance for peace and understanding along the way. It won’t make the grief disappear, but it can help you process the loss in a way that allows you to move forward, carrying the lessons and love with you.

I truly believe that grief is an ongoing healing process. You may never fully accept the suddenness of a loss like that, but by seeking divine guidance, you can avoid being consumed by anger and find a path to peace.

I hope something in today’s episode resonates with you. If you’re going through something similar and need support, please reach out to your local church or connect with a trusted friend who can guide you to their pastor or spiritual leader.
